Rollpedia holds every article to the same editorial standards. This page describes what those standards are, so readers and anyone citing the site can see exactly how content is produced, checked, and maintained.

Sourcing standard

Every factual claim in a Rollpedia article must be traceable to a source. Acceptable sources include:

• Manufacturer documentation — official product pages, spec sheets, brand history pages. Claims are attributed to the manufacturer (e.g. “according to the brand’s product documentation”).
• Regulatory and government sources — FDA, EU directives, UK legislation, EPA technical documents. Cited with title, jurisdiction, and a link to the official text.
• Peer-reviewed research — published studies cited with author, title, journal, year, and a DOI or PubMed link where available.
• Industry standards bodies — TAPPI test methods for paper science, mineralogical databases (e.g. Mindat.org) for mineral data.

Sources are listed at the bottom of every article. If a source cannot be verified — the link does not resolve, the page does not contain the claimed information, or the citation details do not match — the claim is either softened to reflect what can be confirmed (e.g. “according to manufacturer product information”) or removed entirely. No claim remains in a published article on an unverified source.

What Rollpedia does not cite

• Unattributed claims, forum posts, or social media as primary sources for factual statements.
• Marketplace product listings (Amazon, eBay, etc.) as sources — product specifications are attributed to the manufacturer generically.
• AI-generated summaries or unverified databases as stand-alone sources.

Review and dating

Every article carries two dates:

• Published — the date the article first went live.
• Last reviewed — the date the article was last checked for accuracy, broken links, and currency. A review does not always result in changes — it confirms the content is still accurate as of that date.

When new information becomes available (a regulatory change, a brand update, new research), the relevant article is updated and the review date is advanced.

Brand coverage

Brands are described factually using their names under nominative fair use — to identify and describe the products they make. Rollpedia does not:

• Reproduce brand logos or trademarks as graphic elements.
• Imply that any brand has endorsed, reviewed, or approved any content.
• Rank brands or products against each other by preference or recommendation.
• Give any brand preferential coverage, placement, or framing.

Comparisons between brands or products (e.g. materials, sizes, formats) are made on factual, verifiable criteria — never on opinion or subjective preference.

Health, safety, and medical content

Rollpedia does not provide health advice, medical guidance, or safety recommendations. Where health-related research or regulatory information is relevant (e.g. FDA regulatory status, published studies on paper materials), it is reported factually and attributed to its source. Rollpedia does not draw editorial safety conclusions, make comparative safety claims between products (e.g. “safer,” “cleaner,” “healthier”), or advise readers on consumption decisions.

Scope

Rollpedia covers tobacco and general rolling/smoking accessories. Content is framed around tobacco use for adults aged 21 and over. The site does not cover cannabis products, vaping/e-cigarette products, or smokeless tobacco.
